SCAFCO grain bins are reliably serving grain processors
in the U.S.A. and in 66
countries around the world. SCAFCO’s
extraordinary responsiveness to customers'
storage tank
needs is the reason why customers keep coming back to
SCAFCO for their
grain
storage and handling requirements.
Each customer order is treated as if it were
SCAFCO’s
only
order. For assurance of accuracy, staging the components
for shipment
and loading of
the truck is video recorded.
For customers, the choice of SCAFCO agriculture bins and commercial bins is made easy
when
compared to others because of advantages of SCAFCO’s galvanized, corrugated
steel silo design
and
steel tank material specifications:
- For assured extended life, especially in a process industry
environment, SCAFCO’s wall sheets, stiffeners, and roof
panels are zinc coated to G-115 specification as compared
with others’ G-90 galvanizing.
- For assured extended life, SCAFCO utilizes coated bolts
with a 0.0003” zinc coating plus JS500, a clear overcoat
that has passed the 500 hour salt spray test. This is five
times the corrosion resistance of zinc and yellow
dichromate coated bolts.
- For assured extended life, SCAFCO large diameter
corn storage bins have galvanized steel roof
support rafters and purlins, not just painted steel.
- For assured resistance to the dynamic loads of filling and
unloading of corn from bins, SCAFCO utilizes ASTM A-653 SQ,
Grade 57, minimum yield strength Fy = 57,000 psi steel for
sidewalls and stiffeners which is 14% stronger than the steel
typically used in grain storage bins.
